THE COLLABORATORS.
The Jews lived peacefully for generations, dispersed among the nations. They did not have any territorial claims, like in the Balkans, they were not a threat to the national aspirations. Despite this, the Jews disliked, mistreated, denounced, identified or killed? Why? It was caused by wide spread anti-Semitism. The worst offenders and collaborators were the Ukrainians, the Poles, Croats, and Lithuanians. It is easy to prove, that they all lived in dire poverty, had xenophobic cultures with deeply ingrained hatred toward all neighbors and . . . were deeply religious Catholics. Life in poverty made them bitter and the frustration of daily life was easily converted into hatred of the Jews. The Church taught them that Jews were the God killers, Judases with blood stained gold. To hate the Jews was an act of Christian devotion. It is interesting to note that majority of the individuals responsible for the Holocaust - Hitler, Himmler, Heydrich, Goebles and Eichman, were raised as Catholics.
