European Anti-Semitism is sacrificing Israel.

Sixty years ago, in a sacrifice to the Nazi Moloch one million of Jewish children went up in flames, six million Jewish victims lost their lives while the world looked on in silence. Not a whisper of protest was heard. Today, the remnants of the Jewry are subjected to indiscriminate, pervasive terror and suddenly Europe regained its "conscience" and speaks ..... in defense of the terror perpetrators. What right do the Jews have to protect their lives? Should a Jew always play the role of a helpless victim?

In their myopic views the European Anti-Semites do not see the clouds of demographic dangers gathering beyond the horizon. In 1979, at the end of the Shah's reign, there were 23 million Iranians and today, 23 years later, the population of Iran reached 66 million. In one generation the population tripled. Similar explosive growth was experienced by Egypt, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries. This explosive population growth is straining the natural resources; creating high unemployment, overcrowding and discontent. For example in Cairo people are living in cemetery mausoleums. Iran, rich in oil, 35% of population is unemployed.

The autocratic, inept Arab leadership that cannot solve the population growth problems, stagnating economies, corruption, is directing discontent of the population towards the "unbelievers" and especially the USA. It is scary to think that in 25 years there might be 200 million of Iranians, 200 million Egyptians and 50 million Saudis. The clash of civilizations is inevitable.

History repeats itself in many ways. In 1938 Europe sacrificed Czechoslovakia to the Nazi Moloch believing that this is the route to peace. It was a ticket to WW2, because the Moloch is never satisfied. Today, European Anti-Semites want to sacrifice the existence of the State of Israel, hoping that will solve the Palestinian problem and will bring peace. It will not work because the pressures of the demographic changes will not allow a peaceful solution and compliance brings new demands.

Similarly in 1937, during the Franco Spanish war, Nazi Germany successfully tested new military hardware and blitzkrieg methods. Today, by coincidence or design, the Muslim world created a model society for the coming 21 Century conflicts. A low tech society, overcrowded, death oriented, bristling with self sacrificing terrorists. A society in which mothers celebrate the death of their children, an intolerant society always blaming others for their failures.

How can the Palestinian problem be solved?
The conflict can be solved by genuine acceptance of Israel's right to exist, within secured borders. The problems cannot be solved without the goodwill of both sides. The Arab countries never cared about the lot of the Palestinian people. They were mistreated in Kuwait, Jordan, and Syria. For over 50 years the problem was kept alive because the Arab autocracy was afraid that a democratic, fast developing Israeli state will poorly reflect on their leadership and contaminate the area with democratic modernity.

The solution of the Israeli Palestinian requires that the Western world sends Arafat and his cohorts a clear message -TERRORISM NEVER PAYS!!!

Conclusions As a Holocaust survivor I am optimistic about the future. I witnessed the Miraculous Rebirth of the Jewish people, when within the span of one generation the perennial victims fielded one of the best armies in the world. It was the miracle of transformation. The Jews never had it easy. From the day of its creation Israel, over fifty years, Israel lived under military siege conditions with frequent wars, guerilla warfare, plane hijacking, car bombing, etc. Despite the warlike conditions Israel developed a vibrant democracy. Thanks to Arab pressure and unreliability of its Allies, Israel was forced to acquire the technological know how and de develop its own armament industry. It sounds ridiculous but Arab intrasingincy forced the development of Israel.

I believe that sooner or later both sides will find a common language of peace. Taking into consideration this historical track record I believe that Israel will prevail in his fight with the terrorism and in the process will gain the know how, the expertise and will develop new high tech equipment necessary for the twenty first century wars. Despite the wishful thinking of the myopic anti-Semites Israel will prevail and prosper. Amen
