COURAGEOUS CHRISTIANS

During the Holocaust I learned to admire the integrity and the high
moral standards of the Jehovah's Witnesses. They saved many Jews and
steadfastly refused to kill and even bear arms. Stalin killed thousands of
them, until he realized the futility of the executions and assigned all Jehovah's
Witnesses to noncombatant duty.
After the war, I was surprised to learn that the German Jehovah's
Witnesses and the Seven Day Adventists, also languished in the concentration
camps for refusal to kill.
