Those figures have not been verified. "They haven't been proven, but nobody shoved the reverse." Father Bled said, why he had cited the figure in his biography." Does anybody have Father's Bled's e-mail address. I would like to prove him that those figures can be easily disproved with straight logic and simple statistics. My reasoning is as follows: In all Catholic countries, the number of Jews that survived doesn't exceed 700,000: Italy 40,000 Total number of Jewish survivors in the Catholic countries is about 700,000. From this figure we have to deduct the 50,000 survivors of the Nazi camps and 200,000 Hungarian Jews that were saved in the nick of a time by the Russian forces, we arrived at a pool 450,000 Jews from which Pius XII saved the mythical 850,000. This claim is illogical, unconscionable and sinful because it violates the Ten Commandments - Thou shall not bear false witness...
